The common man. I was thinking about hybrids and the workforce of the future. Traditionally, mechanics learned a lot of skills by growing up working on cars – learning trades by hand and experience. Now, cars and technology are advancing rapidly in both complexity and decreasing in size. What will the workforce of the future look like for someone that would traditionally learn their job by hand? It is a curious thought, the mechanics of the future will more than likely be closer to engineers than prior – or will car design continue to create swappable components that enable easy maintenance?
