With a Trump presidency we have a unique opportunity with his executive power. The forty fourth President was a powerful executive but did not exercise as much bold executive action. The American church is at the end of a trend of low threshold building and I see it as a success that has made heavy damage to the foundation of the church. Trump’s presidency should be advantageous of the world’s fluctuation and evoke the American Church to action to appropriately reestablish it’s conservative roots and foundations, which includes pulling back Asian mission support and bring back some of the missing American leadership – back home.
As a kid I was a fan of the Orlando Magic and still have a high regard for their team. Penny Hardaway was the coolest. We live in a world that is defined by sport and some individuals are icons, and I think Penny is one of the best icons as a smooth team player with mad skills. Life has seasons for everything, a time for celebrity and time for reality. I hope that as we pioneer a new America by just existing, that we create healthy places for people to thrive in a culture that works together. The United States will remain on top if we continue to form strong and healthy communities that encourage healthy living and relationships that are intelligent and progressive with a conservative hierarchy.
While it is tragic every time a collision happens whether it is a Navy battleship, a boat or a car, the Navy has some work to do. Wishing them the best as they try to fix their mistakes.
The church has been instrumental in bringing hope to the hopeless, rebuilding homes in developing worlds, feeding the hungry – but they have benefited from non profit taxes, what if the church started to pay down the national debt? Securing the United States from financial binds of bond holders and the world.
As a member of Costco Wholesale, I enjoy the great service and quality of products they provide. But, their dominance in the retail wholesale world cuts other retailers profitability because people do not need to buy as much food and services as they would without. Gas, bakeries, auto shops, optometrists, pharmacies all have less customers because of the success of that store. The economic effect is two face, life is cheaper for the consumer in the beginning but if it cuts wages to other people in business it can have a huge under cut on society – gradually weakening the United States retail prowess. How can we promote retail diversity in a mass consumption culture? I think shopping at boutique retail is the key to an empowered United States in the future, even if it costs more. In the interim, I don’t have a lot of money, so I shop at Costco!
I have been surprised by the President’s success so far, but I am a little disappointed by the press releases to move money away from climate change progress. We have incredibly profitable industries and technologies emerging from global initiatives to be green and I see the United States’ investment in that realm as critical to success in the current political realm. I appreciate Trump’s approach to making bold gestures but I hope we don’t cut off a critically important sector in it’s formative stage.
