I am a tall and skinny guy, retail stores don’t sell my size and I am thankful that the industry obliges to making short pants cool. To get my style in a size that fits I have to special order online, which isn’t too difficult or costly in the contemporary age. I recently ordered undergarments from Target and they were not delivered, their supply chain logistics is one of the finest in the world and I just noticed one of their few mistakes. They make life so affordable it masks the question of what it costs. Brands like American Apparel have restarted the fashion industry in the United States and as the cost of Asia increases, I hope the we continue to innovate on our own soil. I recently ordered a pair of Bluer jeans from a Portland, Oregon denim company: I am looking forward to seeing some American quality fashion. I hope the fashion industry adopts the food industries standard of revealing sources and qualities, it will inform consumer decisions for the making of a more responsible world – with only the down side of the revival of brand loyalty. Looking forward to fashion innovators being smart and classic with a touch of avant-garde.
