Not intending to make light of a Christian celebration but to make point of our cultures state of relationships: we have been losing faithfulness to friendship and convenience, not immediately but in part due to the immense need of a culture fed by media and technology. The best procession America has in preservation of healthy communities is marriage. Conservative dating relationships are not embraced as commonly as it was just a decade ago. Freedom is at stake without conservative relationships because nothing spends the good will of a nation like unhealthy interpersonal relationships.
Today I was thinking about what it takes to form a more perfect union, under God. Unfortunately, our nation has streaks of betrayal and greed that have created hate and malice between and towards people of race and color – some due, some not. I understand that community formation starts with safety and the ability to trust. In recent years I have been ripped off by people looking to get their fill and also been greatly blessed by people and their kindness. I hope that people of ethnic backgrounds, especially the Hispanic population, not create a world of terror because ultimately that will be their undoing if they pursue those paths. We need to respect individuals and understand difference as tolerable.
Tragedy is evident with the rise of racism. But, there is truth to be known in the midst of hate: evangelical white folks founded this nation and we have a populous of diversity that thinks they can take advantage of this nation. Caucasians have been too generous to minorities, with some exception but not much. Exceptions are the Mexicans have commonly earned their wage and the African Americans have endured the advancement of a nation. How can we create a society that respects difference and gives people freedom to pursue life and happiness?
The last few years I have noticed an increase in social experiments and subtle terrorism, especially using sound equipment – like concert venues that target people’s hearing ability by producing a sound loud enough in one spectrum to destroy the ability to perceive it. Society cannot afford deaf people and doctors will be broke because of it. The ear is vital to hearing, balance, sight and perception – if we lose those this world will fall apart because people will close off to forming community. Sound engineers and disc jockeys need to stop making sound that is too loud.
